D2 StoreFront ASP.NET eCommerce Solution - Paypal IPN Integration
D2 StoreFront integrates with the Paypal IPN (Instant Payment Notification) System meaning you can accept online payments for your products in real time without any of the hassle or expense of a merchant bank account. All payments are handled securely and the customers credit card data protected by 128 bit encryption meaning your customers can purchase from your site in the knowledge that their details are safe. Details of any sales that are made from your store are automatically posted to your D2 StoreFront database following a successful transaction and D2 StoreFront will act accordingly depending on the results it receives. You can set D2 StoreFront to respond to transactions by automatically raising the customers access level, emailing the customer a confirmation email and making any digital products the customer has purchased available for download. |

The general process is as follows:
 Customer
browses your store, adds items to their cart and chooses to make
payment |

makes payment within the Paypal secure web area using 128 bit SSL
encryption |

| Customer
is directed back to their 'My Account' area within your store which
now shows their new transaction |

| Paypal
posts the transaction results to your D2 StoreFront installation |

| Your
D2 StoreFront installation runs a series of checks against the received
response |

| For
a successful transaction, your customer is sent a confirmation email
based on a HTML template you create using the D2 StoreFront content
management system. Their access level is raised within your database
as they are now a paying customer |

| The
transaction is made active within your database and is now available
for viewing, export and invoice generation if required. |

| If the
user has ordered a digital product such as an application, eBook
etc, the product will now be available for download within the customers
'My Downloads' area. The number of times the customer can download
the product or how long the product remains available for download
is set by you. |
If the transaction fails any of the inbuilt checks at any stage you will immediately be notified via email and the transaction will not proceed for security reasons. As well as sales posts, D2 StoreFront will also receive and process any refund notification sent from Paypal and add these to your database, adjusting your sales totals accordingly.
