URL Rewriting
The retail and source versions of D2 StoreFront support ASP.NET URL rewriting. Basically this feature gives your store a massive boost as regards search engine optimisation and drives additional customers to your site. URL's for your products and categories are automatically transformed from the search engine unfriendly '/.....Products.aspx?ProdID=22' to '/ACME-Super-Widget-MarkVIII.aspx'.

This will move your product pages higher in the search engine rankings = more sales! The URL rewriting is performed dynamically by the super fast open source UrlRewriter.net component which does not require any server installation or configuration on your part.

AJAX Image galleries
The retail and source versions of D2 StoreFront display your product images using slick AJAX functionality. Product image sets will open in a great looking modal window allowing customers to browse the various full size images associated with a product.

AJAX gives a smoother customer experience as the processing is done behind the scenes meaning no distracting page postbacks.

Additional AJAX support for other areas of the store will be included in future retail/source releases. The AJAX libraries included within D2 StoreFront are fully cross browser compatible.

Google AdSense advertisment inclusion
Earn some extra revenue from your store! The retail and source versions of D2 StoreFront support the inclusion and management of Google AdSense ads within your store using the administrative interface. Google AdSense works well within D2 StoreFront as Google will parse your product pages and provide targeted ads relevent to each product.

Run your own advertisment scheme or include your own ads
The retail and source versions of D2 StoreFront include an adminstrative section where you can upload your own banner ads linking to a URL you choose (advertise your own individual products). Ads are automatically rotated and all impressions and clicks logged with stats generated so you can see how your various ads are performing. Ads can be linked to a user account so you can allow a customer to include their own advertisments and track how they perform.

Unlimited Products & Categories
The retail and source versions of D2 StoreFront allow you to add an unlimited number of separate products and categories. The free version is limited.

Support
The retail and source versions of D2 StoreFront come with full support via direct emails to the developer. Any issues are resolved quickly and you can discuss any additional functionality you'd like added to the application. The free version does not include any form of support beyond our forums.

Direct SQL
The retail and source versions of D2 StoreFront include an administrative section for advanced users where you can run raw SQL directly against your database from within the admin interface. This allows you the flexibility to perform any administrative functionality you may need.

Additional Payment Providers
The retail and source versions of D2 StoreFront include support for both Paypal and WorldPay. The free version supports Paypal only. Additional provider support such as 2Checkout and Google checkout are planned for future retail version releases.

Product catalogue XML export
The retail and source versions of D2 StoreFront include support for exporting your product catalog in an XML format compatible with services such as Google Base. These services allow you to advertise your product range on external sites.

Store Graphical Theme Packs
Additional graphical theme packs will be produced and made available to retail/source customers. These themes give your store an instant professional look and can be fully customised to fit your own companies image and colour scheme.

Re-theming your store is performed via the D2 StoreFront admin interface and takes minutes.

Advanced Mail Settings
The retail and source versions of D2 StoreFront include additional advanced email configuration settings to allow you to use SMTP providers who require non-standard smtp ports or mail SSL enabled such as Gmail. This is not available in the free version.

Advanced Product Options
The retail and source versions of D2 StoreFront allow you to assign a range of option dropdownlists and checkboxes to your products to allow customers to select various size/colour options while choosing products. You can assign price weightings to these options for example you can choose to add a checkbox marked 'Add giftwrapping for this item' and set it to add $1.99 to the checkout price if selected.

The options are set using a simple to use option builder within your admin interface. This option is not available in the free version.

Affiliate System
The retail and source versions of D2 StoreFront include affiliate functionality.

An affiliate system is essential for anyone who sells goods or products online and is a great way to increase traffic to your store and dramatically increase your sales. The D2 StoreFront affiliate program allows visitors to your web site who are interested in your products/services to promote then through their own marketing channels or website(s).

Simply put, an affiliate is paid a commision on any completed sales that they drive to your store so you end up with a network of people who have an interest in making sure your sales are as high as possible.
